Nintendo has updated their Photo Channel Page on the wii.nintendo.com site. Version 1.1 of the Photo Channel will add new features, including customisable Photo Channel Icons, plus the ability for randomised playback of music files. This update comes at a cost, but its not going to affect your wallet- Nintendo is dropping the .mp3 music format in favour for .aac, which provide better quality audio at roughly the same file size. Wii units shipped in the month of December will be already equipped with the update and will not be able to downgrade to gain .mp3 support.
