Dead or Alive Dimensions + Steel Diver delayed in Japan

Games getting pushed back (most likely) due to Japans natural disasters

Japan is going through a tough time at the moment and while we’re sure video games are far from the minds of many in the country. However, several titles have been delayed and cancelled in the wake of the horrific quake and tsunami. Some games have been delayed and one of them has even been cancelled, a mere two months from launch.

Nintendo’s Steel Diver and TECMO’s Dead or Alive Dimensions are the closest to release that have been impacted. Steel Diver was meant to be out today in Japan and Dead or Alive Dimensions was due out next week. Both games have been pushed back with little reasoning but we’re sure people don’t mind.

Now the next game wasn’t due to hit a Nintendo console but it bears mentioning. Irem, the developer of Disaster Report 4 has flat out been cancelled. The game series is popular in Japan and has a cult following outside the country too. The game series is well known for placing you in natural disaster situations, this last one was in a earthquake ravaged city (which took place in March 2011, eerily enough).

North America is now the only region with a release of Steel Diver set and Dead or Alive Dimensions still looks like a May release everywhere else.
