Collector’s coins coming to Club Nintendo Europe for owners of Operation Rainfall trio
Not only have all three of these great Japanese Role Playing Games made it to European (and Australian) shores, but now owners can register their copies at Club Nintendo of Europe to receive a set of collector’s coins. These coins feature the game’s logo on one side, and an appropriate symbol on the other. Nintendo UK have revealed that stocks are limited and it appears it will simply be a ‘first in, best dressed’ scenario. With this in mind, any of our overseas readers in Europe would be wise to jump on this as soon as possible, if they own all three titles. Nintendo have advised that these coins are only ‘gold-coloured’ and not actual physical gold. You know, in case you were hoping to sell them off for mass profits or something. No dice.
Unfortunately there has been no word on whether or not these collector’s items will make their way to Club Nintendo Australia. Given our local club’s lack of well, pretty much anything (save for the very cool Zelda posters) it seems unlikely. We can still hope though, right?
Nintendo AU never really does much, be it a lack of Club Nintendo products (the Gold Nunchuck and SNES Wii Controller are exceptions of course) or never releasing Limited Edition versions of games (apart from Skyward Sword). Seeing how all 3 Operation Rainfall games came in Limited Edition bundles in Europe (especially Xenoblade Chronicles with the Red Classic Controller Pro)…if Nintendo AU actually releases these coins, I’d be pretty happy (planning on getting The Last Story, with Xenoblade Chronicles and Pandora’s Tower in thought).
