Interplay is bringing back its Clayfighter franchise with an update to the classic game hitting the WiiWare and Nintendo DSiWare services. The games will be updates of the original game, and we’re told you can expect improved graphics and revamped gameplay updated to modern standards. The game is being done by StudioBlack, run by Eirc Hart who programmed the original Clayfighter back on the Super Nintendo. Interplay CEO Hervé Caen commented, "We are very enthusiastic to resurrect Clayfighters crazy characters and unique humor. Eric Harts involvement in the previous Clayfighter titles makes StudioBlack the logical choice to give this classic franchise a well-deserved makeover."
The game is due both of DSiWare and WiiWare in the US Summer next year (Winter here).
