The voice of Mario himself, Charles Martinet has been earned a Guinness World Record. The record is ‘Most Video Games Voiceover Performances as the Same Character’. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate took the tally to 100, which was enough to get the record.
Martinet has been playing Mario for over 20 years. The first video game his voice appeared in was Mario’s FUNdamentals, a Windows game in 1995, however, his voice did appear in a Super Mario pinball table in 1992.
But, probably the one people actually played was Super Mario 64.
