We all know that hackers can be a big problem for online games on Nintendo consoles, but it appears Capcom is trying to keep Monster Hunter 3’s online experience free from unfair behaviour. This picture recently surfaced from the Japanese version of the game that launched last month:
Translated, it reads, "Because you used modified data to connect online, you’re now banned. The ban will be lifted at 22:49 on 12/12/9999." If over 7770 years doesn’t put this hacker off, then the warning afterwards just might, saying, "In the future, if you violate the terms of service, it is possible that you will be banned for good." We can only assume that the length of a ban isn’t always as long as this one, otherwise there would be no point in threatening it permanently.
Monster Hunter 3 will be available in Western nations early next year.
