Capcom declares Ultra Street Fighter II on Switch a ‘Smash Hit’
It’s fair to say many were cynical about Capcom’s first Switch effort in Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. A quick, recycled port coupled with a terrible motion control fighting mini-game wasn’t exactly inspiring.
That hasn’t seemed to dissuaded everyone with the game shipping 450,000 copies and being dubbed a “smash hit” by Capcom in their latest financial results. The number above also doesn’t include digital sales, it’s done fairly well considering what it is.
Capcom shipped 450,000 units of software for Nintendo Switch this quarter.
Only 1 title was released so that is total shipment for USFII pic.twitter.com/UMGa7iofEO

Capcom is now “starting to prepare” multiple Switch-version titles as a result of this success. Wonder if Capcom is happy enough with it to bring Monster Hunter XX to the west then?

this news makes me both happy and sad.. happy that their first game has done well and has inspired them to start working on the rest, but sad that they waited until a port of a decades old series did well enough.
Yes, this game sold really well on the Switch we should….port it to the other systems. No new Switch titles lel
Sorry, I’m a little jaded. I hope they do bring some new stuff.
Resident Evil 7 or MvsC would be nice. Or even Mega Man legacy collection
I think cap com will release MHXX 6 months after MHW has been released in the west.
