Capcom has today announced a new, children friendly IP for the Nintendo 3DS. Gaist Crusher is not only a new game but an entirely new franchise from Capcom that will along with the Nintendo 3DS game have manga, anime, music and toys coming out as well.

The game however is described by Capcom as being a mix between Mega Man in the way it looks, but Monster Hunter in the way that it plays. Minus the actual, Mega Man character of course.

The game is set to be released in the Japanese Winter later this year (that’s our summer) so its still a while away. Capcom though have released a first trailer of the game.

Expect to see more of this one as the year progresses.
