Maybe don't take to Splatoon ranked with these though
Last week, the Nintendo Switch got updated to firmware 4.0.0, which brought a tonne of new features, and as always, a few hidden features. But there was one feature that we didn’t catch right away.
First discovered by Master Mewking on Twitter, GameXplain has released a video showing off the Nintendo Switch compatibility with the USB GameCube controller adapter, originally launched alongside Super Smash Bros for Wii U. It looks as if the controllers work with just about every game on the Switch, including the newly released Fire Emblem Warriors, as it simply acts as a wired Pro Controller.
For those getting excited, no, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Smash is coming to Switch, or that GameCube Virtual Console is coming either, but if they do, you’ll be able to play them the way they were intended. You can check out the video below:
From Mario to Zelda, to Splatoon to Donkey Kong. Everything on Nintendo Music.
More games will be added on December 24th and December 30th.
