Activision CEO thinks that the Call of Duty franchise is top stuff

The Call of Duty franchise is pretty big, and it’s safe to say a lot of people know about it and a lot of people have played the games. However, just how big is it? Well, Activision CEO thinks that the Call of Duty franchise is "the closest thing this generation has to a Star Wars".

Speaking to IGN, Eric Hirshberg has said that "the Call of Duty franchise is a force of nature," he continues. "I think it is the closest thing this generation has to a Star Wars. I think it’s unique and bigger than any musical act or any movie franchise in that capacity."

"The challenge with any franchise like that is staying a step ahead of people and keep surprising them and keeping it fresh."

So how do you measure such a thing? James Ramirez isn’t exactly a household name. More wild sweeping statements from Activision execs are expected for a while yet.
