Buying an extra Wii U GamePad won’t be cheap

During the Japanese Nintendo Direct Wii U Launch Presentation a lot of pricing information was given, only one thing was more anticipated than the actual Wii U price itself.
The GamePad’s price.
That price has now been revealed to be 13,440 yen, which is $165 Aussie dollars and about the same US dollars. That’s one expensive controller.
Remember though that the Yen isn’t going so well now so it might not be that expensive here, then again we are in Australia. Wii U GamePad isn’t your average controller, there’s that honking big screen in the middle for starters. It does come with an AC adapter to help smooth the price down.
We’ll find out in a few hours how much ours will cost officially.

Cheaper than buying a Kinect… what’s the issue?
There aren’t actually any games that use multiple GamePads at launch anyway so no one but the hardest of the hardcore will buy one now. I think Nintendo weren’t going to sell these at all until the backlash from E3 2011 forced a re-think.
That sounds fine. I don’t think you need anything more than one. I just hope they made it durable.
