Forget about a break, Nintendo lands Boom Street in Australia in the first week of 2012

Nintendo is kicking off 2012 with a Boom! The first localised version of the Itadaki Street series, Boom Street is headed to Australian Wiis in the very first week of 2012. What did you expect some break from all the game releases, did you?

Nintendo Europe has also announced its release date for the game, a day later on January 6th. Some European countries including Spain, Germany, Portugal and Italy though get the game on December 23rd.

Boom Street is a interactive board game for the Wii that combines both the Dragon Quest series and the Mario series in the one game. You can play against your friends on the same console or there is a fully fledged online mode as well. There are over 20 different characters from the Mario and Dragon Quest universe to play as.
