Until now, ‘White’ has been your only option when it comes to picking a Wii console. The first alternative colour option is on the way with black consoles, Wii remotes and nunchuks being made available individually in Japan from August 1st. The website is also carrying information for a bold new red colour for the DSi releasing in July (the same day as Dragon Quest 9), which is currently limited to black and white in Australia. No word on when either of the trendy new Wii or DSi colours will be available here.
The Wii’s predecessor the Gamecube was available in three colours- purple, black and silver. Hopefully just as many, if not more colours will be available for the Wii in the near future.
