Bionic Commando rears its head on the Australian Classification Board

Nathan Radd Spencer to inflict some mild science fiction violence

Once again, our friendly neighbourhood classification board has seen fit to spoil the excitement of an unannounced release. It seems the story of the man with a mechanical arm designed to kill Nazis will once again capture our imagination this year.

Bionic Commando was a classic in its day, and held controversial for the omission of a jumping mechanic; a strange choice for a platformer of its time. Rated PG by the ACB, the game apparently contains “Mild Science Fiction Violence.”

The Australian Classification lists the publisher as Nintendo, which of course the game is set for release on the eShop (or the Wii, but its not). Itll be the Game Boy version which you will be able to enjoy at some unspecified time in the future.
