Big Ant would “love to” bring Ashes Cricket to Switch
There’s a new Ashes Cricket game coming out soon, but it’s only coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC so far. The developers, Big Ant were asked if it could be coming to the Switch and here’s what they told Press Start;
I would love to do the Switch; the Switch is made for this. There’s nothing like Cricket and using something like the Switch where you have the motion controllers – it just makes sense.
Unfortunately, I did reach out to Nintendo but it didn’t get much of a response. We’ve made games for Nintendo systems in the past, but I really hope we can support the Switch because it really does make a lot of sense, especially with motion controllers and cricket going together. A little bit of that is up to Nintendo – we need to get someone from Nintendo who wants a cricket game on their system and then we’re up for it.
A Cricket game hasn’t been seen on a Nintendo console in quite some time, and just like the Wii the Joy-Con motion controls could be perfect for Cricket. Would you like to see the game come to the Switch? Let us know in the comments.
I would love this game on Switch and it would be very popular in Australia. Not that Switch needs any help increasing sales here but having Ashes Cricket on it would definitely help some of those on the fence between buying a Switch and PS4/XB1. The same goes for AFL Evolution, people might bag it for not being up to FIFA quality, but footy fans love it, and both AFL and Cricket are big when parents are looking at what system to get for their kids here in Aus.
If they fix up all the bugs then I’m all for the cricket, afl and even NRL game on switch.
This would absolutely be the business. Do want.
