"The boy should be cautious..."
As if the Switch didn’t have enough gorgeous and tough platformers, Canadian developer Bishop Games is throwing their name into the hat too.
Announced during last night’s Nindies Showcase, Light Fall is a fast-paced platformer reminiscent of Celeste or Super Meat Boy, but damn it’s pretty. In Light Fall, you’ll travel to the mysterious land of Numbra, where you’ll be tasked with uncovering your past and saving the world’s inhabitants from imminent threat. Platforming revolves around the Shadow Core, a curious magical box you can use to create platforms to jump on, against, and propel yourself into the air.
It even offers a speedrun mode, in which you can race for the best clear time against some of the best and fastest players in the world to see how high you can climb on the online leaderboard. Light Fall is scheduled to release first on the Nintendo Switch this Spring in the US, which is Autumn here in Australia — though the description for the launch trailer does say April, we’ll just have to wait and see.
