Bargain Roundup: Tetris 99
Hold up, a Bargain Roundup for a game that’s otherwise free with Nintendo Switch Online? You betcha!
See this Tetris 99 package is an interesting deal. You get the game on a cartridge and all DLC released so far, you also get 12-month of Nintendo Switch Online. You’ll need that to play Tetris 99’s main mode online of course.
Normally this thing retails for $44.95, a year’s worth of Nintendo Switch Online is usually $30, so $15 for a Tetris cartridge and DLC is fair. But here’s where it gets interesting, stores are going even cheaper in on this one. Target so far is the cheapest at $30.65. That means for a mere $0.70c you can get your year of Switch online and Tetris 99 and it’s DLC on a cartridge. We’re not entirely convinced this isn’t a pricing error – if it is the $39 price everywhere isn’t bad either.
Target upped the price today, so forget the above.
- Amazon AU – $39.00 – Link
- Big W – $39.00 – Link
- EB Games – $44.95 – Link
- The Gamesmen – $39.95 – Link
- JB Hi-Fi – $44 – Link
Target –$30.65–Link
Just a reminder that if you did import this game from the US or UK it would have a years worth of membership for that region.

You’ve rationalised Target’s 70c “bargain” the wrong way around. Buying from Target is like paying 70c for the cartridge and DLC (the DLC which normally costs $15 while the standalone game is free to download), after having paid full price for the single-user membership ($29.95).
The Target link is busted now.
Im assuming that if you buy a new membership it stacks onto the end of your existing one to add 12 additional months?
Seems like a deal i cant refuse, even if it is $39.
I think the BigW price changed last minute. As of this morning, it’s $44 online. Maybe different price instore?
The Target price must have been an error. They didn’t have any in store either, unfortunately. (And the attendant went to the back to check; though they already had an abundance of Switch Lites and copies of Zelda on display)
If I had known, I would’ve picked it up from Big W.
It’s now back on Target’s website at the decidedly less generous price of $44.
