Bargain Alert: 15% off eShop cards coming to EB Games from March 21st

Title says it all really.

“Buying off the eShop is too damned expensive!” we’ve heard you cry, but now for a limited time only they’ll be a way around it.

From March 21st until April 7th, EB Games will have 15% off eShop cards in store. This isn’t the first time they’ve run this sale but it obviously proved quite popular to do it again.

15% may not seem like a lot but take the following examples, a retail Wii U game is $69.95 usually on the eShop – 15% would bring it down to $59.40. Nintendo 3DS games are now usually $59.95, the discount would bring that down to $50.90. Not mention all the sales the eShop has, stock up on cards and wait for your favourite game to go on sale and score big.

Virtual Console games almost never go on sale, so that’s our hot tip purchase if you pick up some cards.

Thanks to Andy for the tip!

It’s disappointing that this is not nearly as good a deal as the last time they ran this promotion. Before, you got 20% PLUS the Nintendo Deluxe Promotion if you had a Deluxe edition Wii U. There weren’t any eShop games that I had wanted at the time so I resisted this offer (which was stupid of me).
