Bandai Namco to distribute Slightly Mad Studios’ Project Cars
Bandai Namco has today confirmed that they will be distributing the upcoming Project Cars title from Slightly Mad Studios this November.
We figured, there’s like one other racing game on the Wii U that doesn’t have karts in it so you might want to know. The game is also being released on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The developers have previously mentioned the Wii U version specifically and are attempting to make it just as good as the other versions.
“We are tremendously happy to be collaborating with Slightly Mad Studios on this promising title, in which community expectations are fusing with racers expertise to craft the next generation of simulation!” said Alberto González Lorca, VP Third Parties, BANDAI NAMCO Games Europe.
“With a portfolio of prestigious, popular, and iconic titles under their wing, Bandai Namco are the perfect partners to bring our pioneering community-driven game to players around the world.” said Ian Bell, Head Of Studio, Slightly Mad Studios.
Look out for the game, even here in Australia in November.
Been quite interested in this title since it was announced to be coming to Wii U a while back. From what I’ve seen when it was first shown it looks to be pushing some really detailed environments and cars, even the grass looks ridiculous and you wizz pass that all the time.
Looking forward to seeing how far they’ve come with the Wii U version and how it compares. Not having the other consoles means I’ll likely get it there, though the lack of a solid steering wheel (like the original 360 one, NOT the wireless Forza one) would let it down a bit.
I’m really looking forward to this one, in regards to a steering wheel, I how what the gamepad handle stand would fair?

*wonder how
Hmm Bandai-Namco, Wii U and Australia don’t go together well so I really hope it does get released here. Just recently BNG chose not to release the Wii U version of One Piece Unkimited World Red either at retail or digitally so pardon my lack of certainty.
They are absolute idiots for not releasing it digitally in Australia. Considering that it has been classified by the ACB (and released on 3DS and on PS3 in both standard AND special limited editions -.-), there is absolutely no reason why they couldn’t have released the Wii U version on the eShop at the very least. Heck, they could have at least issued a limited release of the Wii U version exclusively via EB Games or something.
Even Zumba World Party isn’t available digitally on Wii U in Australia despite being available on physical media on other consoles (including the original Wii).
The Wii U PAL retail release of One Piece Unlimited World Red even has the Australian rating on the disc, so hopefully they will take it that one step further and actually release Project Cars Wii U over here
