When the DSi came out the loss of a GBA Slot was a hotly contested selling point of the console. Some were against it, some didnt care. However you can add another game youll be unable to play if you own a DSi, or even now a DS Phat. Activision and Vicarious Visions are releasing a new grip Band Hero on the DS, however the grip will only fit on the DS Lite.
The grip, much like the Guitar Grip, will slip onto the DS and into the GBA slot. This time though the face buttons will be covered with drum "pads" to give that authentic drumming experience. But its not just drumming that will appear in Band Hero on the DS, youll also be able to do the vocals of the band, something we dont think youll want to do on public transport.
Band Hero DS, like its console counterpart, contains a more mainstream music set list with bands like The Killers, Blink-182, Fallout Boy among others teased. The vocals mode wont work without the Drum Controller in however.
Band Hero will be out later this year.
