In what is an incredibly unbelievable move, Nintendo may be looking to localise Band Bros. – a previously Japan-only DJ style music game for the DS. “”No matter what kind of music, if we tried to do this in other countries it would be very difficult. Therefore, we are currently researching what would be required and what allowed in each region and individual country.”” Says Nintendo President, Satoru Iwata. More inside “”If we find an agreeable answer, we certainly want to develop. If we could somehow put together a good deal with one particular music label, it would somewhat reduce the number of choices available [to players], but I believe we could create a game that still offers a variety of possibilities.””

While it may be unfortunate that they will more than likely not release the game with its original tracks, import players may be happy with a fresh song list – and it’s guaranteed to sell much better if the casual market are familiar with the songs on offer.

Just keep in mind that this is by no means confirmation. Merely a possibility, but exciting no less.
