When Nintendo announced the Nintendo Switch with its detachable controllers, people immediately thought of other types of controllers that could be connected to the side. A fishing reel/rod was one of those. Today, a new game Bakutsuri Hunters has been announced with that just that.
Bakutsuri Hunters will release on the Nintendo Switch in Japan on December 7th. It’s a fishing game, and will come with a “Giga Rod”. This attachment goes on the right Joy-Con and can be used to play the game just as if you were fishing. There’s also four different Giga Lures which seem to use the IR camera to pickup codes on them.
Chances of this making outside Japan? Never say never.
