The physical release of Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition will be coming to Switch and Wii U this year. Guess what the Switch price is?
Publisher and distributing company Badland Games have announced that the critically-acclaimed 2D platformer Axiom Verge will be coming to both the Switch and Wii U consoles as a physical release. Titled Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition, the physical version will come with a range of extras, including the following:
The Nintendo Switch version will be the only iteration to come packaged with the official soundtrack, but it comes at a cost. Badland Games have listed the Wii U, PS4 and PS Vita editions at €29.99, while the Switch version sits at €39.99. This continues the frustrating trend of Switch games being priced higher than other consoles – although it isn’t all bad, especially for official soundtrack collectors. The soundtrack will be available as a pre-order bonus for the other consoles, but no details are currently available as to what retailers will offer this, or whether it will be at an increased price.
For those who have yet to play Axiom Verge, it is definitely worth a look for Metroid fans. Its Metacritic rating currently sits at 84 for the PS4 version based on 61 reviews. The digital Wii U version is currently 89 based on eight reviews.
Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition is due for an August 2017 release.
