Australian and New Zealand Wii U details also coming September 13th
Nintendo Australia has just sent us a press release (yes at midnight) announcing that we too will be getting our Wii U details the same time as everyone else. Well shortly after the European Nintendo Direct anyway.
That kicks off at Midnight Thursday (AEST). We’ll be sharing ‘our’ Nintendo Direct with the European one however Australian and New Zealand details are said to be coming afterward, we’ll have full details for Australia and New Zealand as they’re announced.
The press release also confirms that the Wii U will be out ‘this holiday season’. Thankfully confirmed for this year, phew.
Here’s the times;
Perth: Thursday 10pm
Adelaide: Thursday 11:30pm
Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane: Midnight Thu-Fri
Here’s where to watch;
Join us won’t you? Vooks will be the best Aussie source for all things Wii U as we get closer to launch and beyond.
can’t wait for the announcement details, will Nintendo Land come with it or not?and what will be the cost in NZ dollars?
I really hope its not more than $399
If we’re getting those rumoured “3 tier” packs, then my guess (I hope haha)
$349 for base package – just Wii U
$399 with game (perhaps Nintendoland)
$449 with game and extra controllers
Just my guess
I’m thinking it will retail at $399, possibly $449 with Nintendo Land.
If JB Hi-Fi are to be believed, they’re taking pre-orders for Nintendo Land, so it seems as if it may not be pack-in (at least if there’s a basic model anyhow).
I would be very happy at $400 but I’m not getting my hopes up until its set in stone!
Also I hope it’s not multi-tiered, we went through that stupid system with 360 and PS3 and it was a big enough pain then when we only had a choice of 2.
maybe the white console will be a base model and the black one will be packed with a game and a remote and nunchuck as well as a pro controller. Who knows? Cant wait to find out tonight.
