Different setup for Aussies.
Nintendo Australia has filled us in on just how the bundling of Bayonetta 2 and the original game will happen here in Australia and New Zealand.
While some countries are getting two different physical SKUs at stores, Australia and New Zealand will just be getting one. If you buy Bayonetta 2 at stores you will get Bayonetta 1 on a separate game disc in the same packaging.
The digital versions of the game from the eShop will be sold separately. So if you buy Bayonetta 2 on the eShop you won’t get the first game free. In short;
This seems like kind of a bum deal for digital buyers, but Nintendo haven’t announced any official pricing just yet. However, here’s what we know so far. EB Games have the game listed at $99.95, that’s $20 more than the standard RRP for Wii U games in Australia. Naturally this is just EB Games’ pricing and we all know how reliable they are but no other game on their site is this expensive for the Wii U.
With the game available separate as well on the eShop we doubt Nintendo would charge $79.95 for both. Bayonetta 2 could be full price and Bayonetta 1 discounted. This would be a better buy for those with no interest in the first game but again no pricing has been confirmed.
So then, with this information are you going to buy Bayonetta 2 in stores or on the eShop?
