Those rewards will now be in closer reach

Nintendo Australia has confirmed what was revealed as the case in Europe; select third-party 3DS games will contain Club Nintendo PINs. Currently, only Nintendo-published Wii and DS games as well as Wii and DSi hardware qualify for the program. We can reveal, however, that Capcom’s 3DS launch title Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition will indeed be the first third-party game to have a Club Nintendo code.

Registering third-party 3DS games will score you up to 250 Stars. Nintendo did not mention whether first-party games were worth just as much Stars, but we’re guessing they will be. The 3DS itself will also be participating in the program, and for that you’ll get 500 Stars. You can finally get that Mario pencil case you’ve always wanted.
