Yep, that’s it. Those are the only places in Australia you will be able to buy the game, that means no competition on price, you pay whatever JB Hi-Fi want to charge and if you don’t live near a store – you’re out of luck. Be sure of this we’re not angry at either Nintendo or JB Hi-Fi or any other retailers. But infact… disappointed.
Punch-Out!! was passed on by retailers except for JB Hi-Fi, we don’t know if this is because other retailers truly think the game won’t sell like they say or another reason. That’s irrelevant, what is relevant is that a AAA game for the Wii, the console with the biggest install base in Australia is getting treated like an obscure Japanese RPG. If you haven’t imported the game already, do buy the game – it’s a great game and we’ll have a review up shortly.
It’s just unfortunate that you won’t have any choice locally to decide where to buy it and you better hope you have a JB Hi-Fi near you.
Update:indigokami reminds us that you can indeed order it online… From JB. Thanks!
