We missed this one in the 2DS announcement madness last week, but we’re happy to report that Australian developers Witch Beam are bringing their twin-stick shooter to the Wii U.

Assault Android Cactus puts you in the shoes of Cactus and her team as you blast away a ship full of malfunctioning robots. The game is multiplayer for up to four players with local co-op as you’ll need all the help you can get to blast your way through the ship. Each player on the team has their own abilities and attributes.

The game is already attracting the right sort of attention recently winning Intel’s Level Up competition for Best Action Game

The game is already available on Steam as an early access title but will be coming to the Wii U in early 2014 alongside the PS4 and PS Vita.
