Havent used or activated your Club Nintendo points? You might want to look into that

While the oft forgotten Australian Club Nintendo website hasnt exactly been the bastion of Nintendo treats like other countries, we cant say we hate it. But if you have been amassing points in the hope of something grander (like me), you might want to get spending because from today Nintendo has introduced a PIN expiry system. Well let them explain.

Nintendo Australia would like to advise you that as of July 1 Club Nintendo has introduced a PIN expiry system.

Club Nintendo PIN codes on software will automatically expire 5 years from the original title release date in Australia and New Zealand. Once a PIN code has expired you will not be able to earn Stars from these products.

The first Club Nintendo PIN code due for expiry is Mario Kart Wii, released 24 April 2008. PIN code will expire 23 April 2013.

Please remember that all Stars redeemed must be used within 36 months. Any redeemed stars not used within 36 months will become invalid.

So you have until 23 April 2013 to pick up Mario Kart Wii and use the points card within. A good reminder too that all those points youre amassing wont last forever. Im off to order myself a pencil case, yourself?
