Aussie Bargain Roundup: Pokkén Tournament DX
Pokkén Tournament DX is the most expensive Wii U port to come to the Switch thus far. If you’ve played it before it might be a tough one to double dip on, but for newcomers, it could be good.
There, however, aren’t many savings for this once locally. Target has a pretty good price bringing the $90 game down to $74. The real savings come from the UK with Base.com having the game for a mere $59 which includes shipping. You might not get it right away but that’s $30 off the full price here.

Pokkén Tournament DX is out Friday, 22nd September.

I’m always curious how these Base prices are arrived at – I’ve just looked on the website and including shipping to Australia and conversion from GBP to AUD, it comes up to just over $70 AUD, not $59.44…
I’ve just checked to confirm, total price including shipping came up to £35.02, which is ~$59 in AUD. Not sure how it would get up to $70, but the guide certainly checks out on my end.
I’ve looked into this further, and as it turns out, the price that Base shows on the page isn’t the same as the price in the checkout. This is because the price on the page includes VAT, which doesn’t apply to overseas sales in the UK. So while it says £39.99 on the store, you’ll only pay £33.33!
Sorry for the confusion.
Ahhh brilliant! Thanks for clarifying 🙂
No problem!
