Aussie Bargain Guide: Yoshi’s Wooly World + Yarn amiibo deals
After being featured in over 15 different Nintendo Direct broadcasts, the adorable Yoshi’s Wooly World is finally here – and on a Thursday!
Don’t get too excited though, it looks like this one is a test with other releases still slated for a Saturday release. Enough of that though, what about the game – what about the amiibo – tell me the bargains Vooks!
Firstly the game, being released right near the lucrative school holiday / toy catalogue period is bringing some great prices for Yoshi’s Wooly World. That doesn’t seem to help the amiibo though, stores know they’re onto a hot product and that RRP isn’t budging much.

I really wish more than anything the e-shop was cheaper, even if it was the launch day, like match the other retailers. I love having them on my machine, I don’t hate discs, but its just way easier to have them all on the hard drive.
Luke, I usually buy nintendo eShop cards at EB when they go on sale for 15% off, so the burn of paying full RRP on the eshop doesn’t hurt quite as much. $67 for a game you can buy in store for $59 isn’t great, but it’s better than $79
Really on the fence about this one. I mean, I’m sure it’s a fantastic game but it just looks like the kind of thing I have played a million times before. Also, I have heaps of other stuff to play at the moment and already have a regular Yoshi amiibo. I guess it really comes down to how cute the knitted Yoshi looks in person!
Might be worth mentioning that Big W will be opening at midnight at popular stores for its toy sale (or 7am at most other stores) for those who want it early.
If you check target’s website the price of the bundle is $69. I was instore and bought it for that price.

Dungeon Crawl…i’m disgusted.
I picked up a Yoshi Yarn amiibo from Kmart yesterday, they have all three colours for $25 each with lots of stock, but didn’t have the game disc or bundles yet.
My local Kmart (Kurralta PArk SA) finally got stock of the game, the bundle and the yarn amiibos, all 3 were same prices as Big W. They also had a huge delivery of amiibos… nearly a whole aisle!
