Third screen it on the Wii U.

Ubisoft has released it’s companion app for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and it works on the Wii U version of the game too.

The app available both on App Store and Google Play and is of course free.

The app works as a third second screen in the game and can be used as interactive world map allowing you set waypoints and view mission objectives. The app also links up with friends who can join in on  your game.

Even when you’re not playing the game on your system at home you can play away from home. The app can be used to control your fleet to send on missions while you work. The app also features treasure maps, a progress tracker and a ‘wall’ for posting messages and notifications from friends.

It’s weird to think that you could be playing Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag on three screens if you play the Wii U version. Would have been nice to see the app worked into the game – but here we are.
