Just Dance trailing in second.
Ubisoft make a lot of games, some of them sell well, some of them don’t and today they’ve revealed the sales totals for each of the companies franchises.
There’s no point beating around the bush, Assassin’s Creed far and away takes top honours which for a company that started in the 80s its weird to see one of its newer IP at the top.
The Assassin’s Creed franchise has sold over 73 million copies to date, that’s including every game on every platform since 2007. That’s only 7 years ago.
Quite a while down to the next position is Just Dance on a mere 48 million – we bet most of those were on the original Wii too. It’s still an impressive figure for such a new franchise.
There’s a close Tom Clancy trifecta up next and Petz and Rayman aren’t far behind that either.
Far Cry and Prince of Persia are down the list even more, even behind the Imagine games. So just remember the next time you make fun of Petz or Imagine – they’ve sold a lot more than some of the ‘core’ franchises out there.
Get in quick, they go fast.
