Nintendo has revealed a new Art Academy is in development for the Wii U. While few details were released at the latest Nintendo Direct, it is known that the title was created in response to the intense art activity happening on Miiverse.

Nintendo is hoping to maintain interest with this new Art Academy entry in the series. To satisfy Miiverse fans, Nintendo will release an app on the Wii U eShop that allows the player to use various pastels and pencils.

Full details regarding this Miiverse app such as a price and a date are yet to be announced, so stay tuned.

I’ve been writing about video games since 2006 and playing them since I was a kid. I started out with a copy of Mario & Yoshi on the Game Boy and before I knew it was in debt to Tom Nook. These days I spend much of my time trawling the eShop for the latest downloadable hit.
