The next big update for Arms will be released later this week and in addition to Max Brass coming to the roster there’s going to be a few other changes.

When Max Brass joins the roster he’ll not only be bringing himself, but also his stage and his Arms which you’ll be able to unlock to use on other fighters. There’s more to this update than just Brass with the inclusion of a new versus mode where one of the players gets Hedlok’d and the other players must take him down. It’ll be available locally and online too.

Arms producer Kosuke Yabuki has spoken in an interview with Eurogamer about some of the upcoming changes.

Max Brass is the main part of tomorrow’s update, but there is a new versus mode where in a fight between two or three players there’s a Hedlok mask players battle over, and when you get the mask your own character can turn into Hedlok. If one player turns into Hedlok it’ll be up to the other players to take him down.

There’s also a bunch of balance changes coming, but no one particular player is being nerfed;

One thing with a balance update – if you say we’ve nerfed this character, fans of that character won’t be happy about it! That’s something we’re aware of, and with this update the balance adjustments are done in a way not to make any character less good than they are at the moment.

But wait, there’s more! The game will also be getting a records screen which can keep track of your past fights and your stats as well.

There’s a maintaince for Arms today, the update should be up afterwards.
