An ape at a San Francisco zoo recently got his hands on a Nintendo DS XL, which was dropped by a visitor to the zoo, a young boy. Courtesy of photographer Christina Spicuzza, photographs of this animal’s unique interaction with the device have been captured.
“It was very interested in trying to figure it out” Christina explains. The younger ape, Hansai, also seemed interested but Bawang would not let the youth tamper with the device.
However, any concerns that the device could not be retrieved were put to rest when the trainer appeared, trading an apple for the DS with Bawang. The apes are trained to do this with any foreign object, receiving the apples as a reward for their behaviour.
The DS XL itself? It made it out of the incident relatively unscathed and still in working condition. A happy ending.

Definitively done with the Wii U now.
Because Gate Rune and Dunan Unification War is too long to fit in a title.
