Over at Nintendo’s fun labs, Miyamoto has been tinkering with the possibility of remaking the old 2D Zelda games to take advantage of the 3DS’ titular 3D. He said that Miyamoto had found the most success with A Link to the Past, which was designed to play on multiple vertical tiers. These make for a fairly obvious translation to 3D, unlike some of the other, flatter games.
Aonuma revealed that he’s not personally looking into any 2D games, nor a Majora’s Mask remake at this time. Currently he’s investigating the next 3D Zelda game.
More information is supposed to emerge tomorrow from that interview, so stay tuned to Vooks for just the interesting bits.
