Another week of combined VC, WiiWare, and DSiWare updates
Nintendo are again this week releasing games for each of their downloadable content services together on the same day
Updates this week include Swords and Soldiers for WiiWare, Pitfall on VC, and a new Master of Illusion Express game for DSiWare ready to pad out your weekend.
Swords and Soldiers, a side-scrolling RTS game, is one of those rare instances when a WiiWare game is released in PAL territories before out friends overseas. For 1000 points, the game has players ordering cartoon sword-wielding soldiers across their screens in order to defend their kingdoms from attacking adversaries.
The Sega Mega Drive version of Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure hits the virtual console today for 800 points, and offers gamers a chance to relive the pit-swinging adventure once again. Finally, the next ‘Little bit of Magic…’ game from Nintendo, ‘Shuffle Games’ for 200 points, is the only new addition to DSiWare for the week- a service which is starved for content compared to what Japanese DSi owners are already able to enjoy.
