Nintendo has revealed that Animal Crossing will now get it’s own community on the Miiverse where players can share and discuss the game.

What’s more exciting though is Nintendo has introduced a Animal Crossing Plaza to the Wii U, essentially a free Animal Crossing version of the Wara Wara Plaza. It is a place to find out information about the game such as calendar events along with the ability to share messages and drawings about your favourite animal villagers.

Users can select particular animals to see what other people have said about them and if that isn’t enough you can jump directly to the Animal Crossing community on the Miiverse to see more.

You will also be able to to upload screenshots that you take on the 3DS directly from your SD card and post them to the plaza. You can organise them into albums and even attach them to messages.

QR codes will also be able to be shared and scanned from the screen to give you access to items in the game. Animal Crossing Plaza will be available today as a free download from the Wii U eShop.

Video games are not my forte. I'm not very good at video games. If you walked up to me in the streets and exclaimed “Hey! You suck at video games!” I would not call you a liar. They are, however, one of my favourite things and classic Nintendo titles are what I like best. Sure I haven't finished New Super Mario Bros. U yet and I've had the game since launch, but that doesn't mean I don't get the same fuzzy feelings as you when I play it.
