Animal Crossing: New Leaf receives near-perfect score from Famitsu
If you’re one of the many 3DS owners looking forward to the upcoming release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf then you’ll be pleased to hear the title has achieved an almost perfect score from Famitsu.
Three of the four reviewers from the highly respected Japanese video game publication gave the latest entry in the Animal Crossing franchise a coveted 10/10, with a 9/10 from the fourth and final reviewer.
This obviously adds up to 39/40 which puts the title alongside the likes of Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and the wonderful Ōkami.
In the past, perfect 40/40 scores have been awarded to titles such as Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker and Pokémon Black & White.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf is out in Japan next week, with a local release scheduled for early 2013.
Only 39? Looks like I’ll be skipping this one.
This is going to be So worth the wait, it is a good thing there are amazing DS/3DS games to play in the meantime. Good times!
Not as good as Nintendogs though.
Seriosuly though, first Animal Crossing game to score so highly in Famitsu?
I’m a little edgy with Famitsu reviews sometimes, but from what I’ve seen of New Leaf, there’s not much I can disagree on.
Yay, another timesink that will cause hell for my obsessive compulsive collection compulsion 🙁
Can’t wait for this. The *spoiler* videos on YouTube makes me want it even more. Shame I have to wait till 2013 for it though.
