To "accommodate the releases" of other mobile games.
Surprising no-one Nintendo has announced that Animal Crossing for smartphone has been delayed. The game will now release in Nintendo’s next financial year. That means the game could release anytime from April until March 2018.
Nintendo broke the news during its latest financial results report. Basically Nintendo want to give Super Mario Run’s Android release and Fire Emblem Heroes’ release some room.
For smart devices, we plan to release the game application Fire Emblem Heroes on February 2. We will also follow last December’s release of Super Mario Run for iOS with an Android version in March. To accommodate the releases and operation of these applications, we have revised the release schedule for Animal Crossing, which we had originally planned to release during this period. This title will be released during the next fiscal year.
Well least there’s Fire Emblem out this week.
