The newest handheld entry in the Animal Crossing series is set to have you working for Tom Nook, but legitimately this time in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer.
The game sees you becoming part of the team at Nook’s Homes and it’s your job to style and furnish the houses of the animal residents throughout town.
Kind of like one of those home renovation shows on TV, you are given a brief on what the home owner wants and from there it’s all up to you. Choose a wallpaper and carpet that compliment each other, place the furniture, maybe add a throw rug… Just try to make it what the customer wants.
Placing and moving furniture is easier than in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Instead of dragging and pushing items to where you want them to be, you simply hover it to where you want it to go and then place it down.
It’s not just the inside of the house either. You also choose a suitable location for the house to be built and pretty up the outside too! Fences, paths, plants and outdoor furniture. The whole shebang. You can even use the Animal Crossing amiibo NFC cards to unlock and use special items that your animal friends are just going to love. Maybe a new lamp? Or how about a nice picture for that wall.
It doesn’t stop at houses either. Community buildings like schools also need some style. Just make it something the students and Lyle from the Happy Home Showcase will love.
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer is scheduled for release this September in the U.S. So stay tuned to Vooks for a local release date.
