Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Headed to Mobile by March 2017

Nintendo have announced that new mobile titles are on the horizon for 2016/2017.
It was revealed today that Nintendo are developing four new mobile titles, and they’re bringing big names along for the ride. New games based on the Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem franchises are set to be released as part of this rush of games.

Data released today also showed that the profit generated from Miitomo, Nintendo’s mobile social app, has been lower then expected. Despite this, it looks like mobile development appears to be a new focus point for the Big N.

Damn, I’ve been pretty determined to use my iPhone 4 until it’s completely shot but may have to upgrade before that happens if these turn out to be pretty good. Kind of wish that Nintendo had a smartphone on the market :-/
Animal Crossing potentially makes a lot of sense as a mobile game. It already has the real-time waiting periods of a lot of mobile games, it could potentially be a very similar experience without changing a whole lot about the core game…
