The next batch of Super Smash Bros. amiibo have been released in this mornings Nintendo Direct, along with a suprise.

The next figures to be released in the Smash Bros. series will be on May 29th and they will be Jigglypuff and Greninja. June will see the release of Zero Suit Samus, Palutena, Dark Pit and Ganondorf. The fun doesn’t stop there though as July will see the release of Olimar, Dr Mario and Bowser Jr. All dates are European until we get confirmed news from Nintendo Australia.

The Nintendo Direct also revealed the first amiibo cards. These cards will feature Animal Crossing characters and can be used in a new app for the Nintendo 3DS which lets you make up a room using the cards called Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. The cards turn into items and characters in game. The cards and the NFC reader/writer for the original Nintendo 3DS models will be out in Spring (our Spring).

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer: This new spin-off title in the Animal Crossing series focuses on the decorating and home-designing aspects of the Animal Crossing games. Animals will ask players to design houses for them, and it’s up to designers-in-the-making to meet the animals’ requests by furnishing and decorating their homes. By scanning a new Animal Crossing series amiibo card to a New Nintendo 3DS system or NFC reader/writer accessory, players can design a room for that specific character on the card and scan additional cards to invite those characters to visit. Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer will launch this spring.

We recommend you pre-order those amiibo as soon as possible if you want them!
