Analyst expects new Nintendo console by 2010
Industry analyst, Pacific Crest Securities, have predicted that both the successors to Nintendo Wii and Microsoft Xbox 360 will be arriving sometime in 2010. The firm further predicts that sales will hit their peak during 2010, a year in which new technologies will be rolled out and subsequent handheld systems will meet the end of their cycle. More inside
“”We believe that peak industry sales will occur in 2010, given that Microsoft will likely introduce its next console that year and Nintendo will likely launch before then,”” said Evan Wilson, who went further to say “”””Further, 2010 is also likely to coincide with the end of the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP cycles.””
And what about the PS3? Well since it’s the latest console to be released, analysts predict it will have a 10 year life cycle, which is a great leap considering that in 2010 the Xbox 360 will only be 5 years old, and the Wii 4 years.
