He says that Nintendo were planning on bringing it before this years end, but now theyll wait for the “Wii HD” hitting early next year apparently

Well, we’ve now got more rumours of a ’Wii HD’, but this time it is an indirect reference with Netflix support on the Wii. Streaming media analyst Dan Rayburn claims that he has confirmed with “someone involved in the project” that Nintendo is currently in the “testing stages” with support for the service, and will be getting it to the Wii “very shortly.”

“What I’m hearing is that Nintendo originally planned to bring the Netflix service to the Wii before the end of this year,” he said, “which still might take place, but that Nintendo is also considering holding off on the Netflix service until they release their next generation Wii HD unit in early 2010.”

Supposedly Rayburn has pictures of the implementation as proof, but isn’t releasing them to protect his source. Do you think that we’ll really get a Wii HD? Let us know in the forums or comments section below.
