Shut up and take my money.
Nintendo has revealed its ‘third wave’ of amiibo figures that will be released soon.
In keeping with the Super Smash Bros. theme the figures will be more fighters from that game. The list includes Lucario, Rosalina and Luma, Bowser, Toon Link, Sheik, Ike, Meta Knight, DeDeDe, Shulk and even the third party Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man will get a figure.
All of the figures will release on January 22nd 2015, except for Shulk, Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man who will release in February in Japan. No western release date has been announced as of yet.
The Japanese amiibo site was also updated with a list of supported games. We already know that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors will be compatible for launch but we now know that Smash Bros. is the one game that can write to the amiibo figures. Mario Kart 8 and Hyrule Warriors simply can read from them.
We’ll badger Nintendo Australia to find out when we’re getting these figures.
