Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy was originally released in 2012 and was a fairly competent version of Ace Combat on the Nintendo 3DS, now a couple of years later Bandai Namco is releasing the game with a number of new features.

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus is set to take advantage of almost all of the New Nintendo 3DS features included the addition buttons and the C-Stick.

The game will also use the NFC reader built into every new console to support amigo figures. Placing Mario, Bowser, Peach, Luigi or even Fox on the bottom screen and your jet will receive a character themed skin. Just another cool way amiibo support will stretch it appears.

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy Plus is out in Japan on January 29th next year, no word yet if it will make its way to the west.
