Smash Brothers director confirms with his latest tweet.
Those of you who were still sceptical that Nintendo would be showing only images of Super Smash Bros. 4 should now be pleased to hear that not only was Iwata’s promise of “images” not really referring to images, but that it was referring to a trailer being shown too!
Director of the entire franchise, Masahiro Sakurai, took to Twitter tonight, to confirm details surrounding the game’s reveal this coming Tuesday, which we previously confirmed.
The tweet in question reads:
お知らせしておきます。6月11日23時配信のNintendo Directで、新作『スマブラ』の映像が初披露となります。世界同時、ここが初! お見逃しなく。
which can be translated to:
I have an announcement. During the Nintendo Direct to be broadcast from 11PM on the night of June 11th, the first trailer of the new entry in the ‘Super Smash Bros.” series will be broadcast. For the first time, simultaneously across the world! Do not miss it.
As we were previously only expecting “images” as Iwata claimed in a previous Nintendo Direct, we’re sure this news has you excited.
Even though Sakurai mentioned the dates in his tweet, be sure to confirm your local times for when the Nintendo Direct is being broadcast. We will be attending the E3 and will be covering the Nintendo Direct live.
