Nintendo and tools company AiLive have teamed up to create a new development tool called LiveMove. This tool will allow the developers to teach the Wiimote what certain movements do by example instead of coding it. More details inside Developers talk...
More details inside Developers talking to Gamesutra explain it is a bit better than current methods, “”Instead of complicated programming, developers need only take a few minutes to train the Wii Remote by examples. LiveMove lets developers focus directly on creative work without the burden of onerous coding requirements, helping them quickly unleash the potential of Wii.””‘
LiveMove can remember 40 different motions on 8 Wii remotes or nunchuks simultaneously using less than 5% of the Wii CPU, this means Wii game developers can use this software to get the Wiimote controls working early on and then concentrate more on the rest of the game.
